Data Deletion
Last updated: 6 August 2026
Yinava is developed and operated by Liprem Technology. You can ask us to delete a Yinava account or personal information associated with the service. The steps depend on whether you are a merchant account holder, staff member, or a merchant’s customer.
How to request deletion
- Email hello@yinava.africa using the subject Yinava Data Deletion Request.
- Include your full name, email address or phone number associated with Yinava, and the relevant business or merchant name.
- State whether you want an entire merchant account deleted or only personal information connected to you.
- Complete any reasonable identity or account-ownership verification we request. Do not email passwords, PINs, or one-time codes.
If you are a merchant’s customer
The business that collected your information usually controls that customer record. Contact the business directly first and ask it to correct or delete your information. You may also email us with the business name and the phone number or other identifier used in its messages, and we will help route or process the request as appropriate.
Meta and WhatsApp data
If your request concerns information received through Meta or the WhatsApp Business Platform, we will delete information within Yinava's control that is covered by the request, subject to applicable retention obligations. Disconnecting Yinava or revoking platform permissions does not necessarily delete information separately held by Meta, WhatsApp, or the merchant. Those services may have their own deletion procedures. Follow the email steps above to request deletion from Yinava's systems.
What happens next
We will acknowledge the request, verify that the requester is authorized, and confirm the outcome. Deletion may affect access for other users in the same merchant workspace, so an account-owner request may be required before deleting a whole workspace.
Information we may retain
Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, dispute-resolution, or backup purposes. We may also retain de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify you. Any retained personal information will remain protected and will not be used for unrelated purposes.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, including Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you may also request access or correction, or object to certain processing and direct marketing. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
