Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 August 2026
Yinava is a customer engagement and commerce platform developed and operated by Liprem Technology, a business registered in Ghana. This Privacy Policy explains how Liprem Technology collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when businesses and their customers interact with Yinava.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to Yinava merchants, their staff, website visitors, and people who contact us. Merchants may also enter information about their own customers into Yinava. For that customer information, the merchant decides why and how it is used, and Yinava processes it to provide the service.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: names, email addresses, phone numbers, business details, roles, and login information.
- Customer and transaction information: customer contact details, visits, sales, loyalty activity, coupons, notes, and messaging history entered by a merchant.
- Payment and billing information: billing records and transaction references. Payment providers may process payment-card or mobile-money details directly.
- Technical information: device, browser, IP address, logs, security events, and information about how the service is used.
- Communications: messages and information you provide when requesting support or contacting us.
- Connected-platform information: when a business connects the WhatsApp Business Platform, we may receive WhatsApp Business Account and business phone-number information, message content and identifiers, message status information, approved templates, and other information made available through the authorized integration.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide, maintain, secure, and improve Yinava;
- create and administer accounts and merchant workspaces;
- process sales records, loyalty activity, campaigns, receipts, reminders, and SMS messages at a merchant’s direction;
- provide support and communicate about service, security, billing, and product updates;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; and
- meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
4. WhatsApp and Meta integration
Businesses may choose to connect their WhatsApp Business Accounts to Yinava. When a business authorizes this connection, Yinava may access and process information provided through Meta's APIs only as necessary to provide the services authorized by that business. This may include sending and receiving WhatsApp messages, managing approved message templates, displaying conversations, and reporting messaging activity. Yinava does not sell Meta Platform Data or customer conversation data. Use of WhatsApp through Yinava is also subject to applicable Meta and WhatsApp terms and policies.
5. Messaging and marketing
Merchants are responsible for having an appropriate legal basis or consent before adding customer information or sending marketing messages through Yinava. Recipients may ask the relevant merchant to stop direct marketing. You may also contact us for help identifying or reaching the merchant responsible for a message.
6. When we share information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Yinava, such as hosting, database, email, SMS, analytics, security, and payment providers. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, during a business reorganization, or when you direct or authorize us to do so. We do not sell personal information.
7. Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by record type. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, including Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or object to certain processing and direct marketing. We may need to verify your identity. If a merchant controls your information, we may refer the request to that merchant. See our Data Deletion page for instructions.
9. International processing
Our service providers may process information outside Ghana. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to protect the information and use it consistently with this policy and applicable law.
10. Children
Yinava is designed for businesses and is not directed to children. A merchant that processes a child’s information must have the authority and safeguards required by applicable law.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will publish the revised date on this page. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to hello@yinava.africa.
